About the webinar
In this session we bring two perspectives to the table.
(1) The first from the City of Helsingborg, where many placemaking initiatives have been carried out by the municipality to co-create with communities and enable all parties in the processes to have open, honest and fruitful dialogues where all voices are heard. Cecilia Fredriksson will talk about how equality and planning can come together and how the City of Helsingborg aims to create a norm of equality in urban planning.
(2) The second presentation will come from Makariv (Kyiv region), where Nashe Place has been initiated to revitalise public spaces that have been affected by russian aggression. The focus of this presentation will be on working with the community's painful memories and traumas through the collective creation of a photo exhibition. The Speakers – Iurii Granovskyi and Veronika Mol - will discuss community engagement, the art process, and the supervision and creation of unique temporary constructions with the aim of creating places that residents can enjoy with dignity and comfort.
